Our Worship Experience

Worship at our church is a time to experience God’s love made present and active as we:

  • Sing hymns of praise and thanks to the God of unconditional love, who guides us towards good paths in our lives
  • Listen to God’s word found in the Bible and to how the word of God can come alive in our own lives
  • Greet our fellow worshipers with signs of peace and welcoming
  • Join together in earnest prayers for one another, our world and our own lives
  • Affirm our faith in Jesus Christ and our willingness serve God as Christ has served us
Our worship takes place typically in our sanctuary, a flexible space that invites us to explore new and contemporary forms of worship in combination with traditional forms of worship. Whether you are a long time church goer familiar with Methodist traditions, from another denomination, returning to explore faith anew or learning about God for the first time, you will find a place in our worship services that will be affirming, comforting and guiding.

Regular features of our worship services include:

  • Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month, in which we recommit our lives to God’s presence in us through accepting the same elements offered by Jesus Christ at his Last Supper to his disciples. In our traditions, Holy Communion is a sacrament signifying God’s most powerful grace, blessed by the presence of an ordained minister consecrating bread and unfermented grape juice that are offered to all present.
  • Traditional, contemporary and blended worship services. We combine traditional United Methodist hymns and worship experiences with new and contemporary elements of worship that provide both familiar and new ways of expressing our faith and experiencing the presence of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.
